Children's Day Celebration

Children's DayChildren's Day is one of the most popular and highly celebrated events around the world!  Almost every country has an official Children's Day!

Although it may be hard to believe, the United States, California, and San Diego still does not have an official Children's Day!

To this end, the San Diego Children's Coalition is working hard to establish an official Children's Day in San Diego County!  Efforts in the State of California are being made by Children's Day USA and others for all cities and counties to celebrate Children's Day on the last Saturday in April.  The "unofficial" Children's Day this year is April 28th!

April is Children's Day!
May is Mother's Day!  June is Father's Day!

As a part of Children's Day, the San Diego Children's Coalition will host a month long Children's Day Celebration in April 2012.  The Celebration will have unique twist in that it will celebrate and promote those charities and businesess in the service of children.
Children's Day
The Coalition will ask children's charities and organizations to host family-oriented events & fundraisers and encourage businesses to offer special promotions that benefit children and their families.

The Celebration will essentially be a charity awareness month promoting charity and family events on the radio, television, and print during the month of April.

The general public will be asked to:

Pick a Day, Choose a Charity, Support an Event!
