SAN DIEGO HOSPICE AND THE INSTITUTE FOR PALLIATIVE MEDICINE

The Center for Grief Care and Education at San Diego Hospice provides bereavement support to the community via consultations, workshops, individual and family and group therapy for adults and children. We facilitate support groups for adults in our community neighborhoods as well as offer a free family program called Grief Street (multi family grief support group including pizza dinner). We also partner with several school districts to provide counseling to children and their parents/guardians on the school campus pro bono. Support for school students is not only geared to assist with coping after death, but also support (individual and group) for loss due to other life transitions such as deployment, deportation, incarceration, and sudden death.
