Children's Day Celebration
April 15th - 30th, 2011

Please come join us as we launch the biggest Children's event in
the history of San Diego with a two week long Celebration with dozens
of Children's Organizations, ending at Kidsfest and Children's Day Parade!


May is Mother's Day!  June is Father's Day!  April is now Children's Day!

The First San Diego Children's Coalition Mixer a Success!
Thank you for all who attended the first successful Mixer in July.   In attendance were over 120 individuals representing more than 70 Children's Organizations!  A first in the history of San Diego.  Now that the first Mixer is behind us, we are looking towards the future.

 

The Coalition will focus on two primary objectives.  The first will be the promotion of Children's Organizations and their fundraising events via information on an upgraded website, through direct promotion to individuals and groups in San Diego, and via a monthly newsletter.  The second will be to recruit a army of new volunteers.

Upgrading our Website!

 

We are currently in the process of upgrading the website to allow you as an
Organization to be able to login and create an account.  With your account, you
 will be able to provide a description of your Organization, contact information, website address, etc...  You will also be able to promote your events, subscribe to our
newsletter, and signup on our Guest Speaker's List if you would like to
present your Organization around town.

 

The Next Children's Coalition Mixer - August 26th (4th Wed)

We will continue with the monthly Mixers throughout the summer until the 4th Wednesday in September.  At that time we will decide on the frequency of the Mixers.

Our plan for the next Mixer will be to:

 

1.  Re-invite all of the Children's Organizations who attended in July, plus many new Organizations.

2.  Invite the general public who are interested in helping either by volunteering or attending a fundraising event.

3.  Invite various Celebrities to attend the event.  We will update you on who's attending. 

4.  Provide opportunity drawings with the proceeds going to a randomly selected attending group.

5.  Provide a better atmosphere for Mixing and a PA System so speakers can be heard.

6.  Suggest a $5 optional donation in order to purchase more food and appetizers.
